About Steve Tobin
Tobin is quite an important figure in the fields of ceramic and glass, as equally he is an expert with steel and bronze. As the sculptor who created the 9/11 memorial sculpture at Trinity church - Tobin cast the huge root of the Sycamore tree that was toppled by debris from the tower's collapse in bronze. The tree actually shielded the church from the falling rubble, saving it from the catastrophe. His focus at the moment is creating a number of monumental bronze sculptures based on his "squeeze" series of miniatures for a major installation on Broadway in 2015/2016.
